Both can work, but they do different jobs. YouTube builds a library. LinkedIn helps start conversations now.
If your audience is on both, I would use both.
But I would not treat them the same way.
YouTube is where I would build your long-term video library. It is searchable, videos can keep getting found months or years later, and prospects can binge several videos to learn more about you before they ever reach out.
LinkedIn is more immediate.
It is a good place to share ideas, opinions, lessons, and clips that can spark a conversation with people already in your network.
The mistake is thinking you need to create completely different content for every platform.
You do not.
A good YouTube video can become a LinkedIn post, a short clip, a newsletter topic, and something your sales team can send directly to a prospect.
I would start with the useful idea first, then decide where it should live.
For most businesses, YouTube and LinkedIn work better together than they do separately.
