Before someone calls your company, they may already be asking ChatGPT, Google, or another AI tool about you.

  • What does this company do?

  • Are they a good fit for me?

  • How do they compare with competitors?

  • What should I ask them before hiring them?

Vic Ing and I tested those questions on our own businesses. Some of the answers were surprisingly good. Others showed us exactly where our websites and content were leaving gaps.

Before a prospect calls your company, they may have already asked AI about you.

What do you do? Are you the right company to hire? How do you compare to other options? What should they ask you during the sales meeting?

In this video, Vic Ing of Viking Sales Consultants and I tested those questions on our own businesses.

Some of the answers were surprisingly accurate. Others exposed gaps in our websites, pricing information, messaging, and content.

That may be the most useful part of this exercise.

If AI cannot clearly answer an important question about your business, your prospective customers may be struggling to find that answer too.

Try this with your own business

Ask AI:

“What should I know about [YOUR COMPANY] before I schedule a sales meeting?”

“Who is their ideal customer?”

“What are the pros and cons of hiring them?”

“What questions should I ask them before I buy?”

Then look closely at what AI gets right, what it gets wrong, and what it cannot answer at all.

Those gaps can show you exactly what your website, videos, and other content need to explain more clearly.
